"Color will be a creative guide for 2023, in combination with us looking cautiously ahead, but with a nostalgic feeling for what has been. We want to create a safe and pleasant environment for us to spend time together with our family and friends."

The trend of awareness is based on the fact that, today, we have an expanded awareness of the world beyond what we have ever had before. We use this information constantly available to us as a basis for decisions, regardless of what the decision is about.
Awareness: Less impact - Conscious choices - Circularity
The Awareness trend is characterized by clean and simple design, adding natural elements to the interior and working with colors that gravitate towards mild earthy and beige. Sustainability in all areas is of great importance and it is important to do good, be true to your ideals, and be careful with what you leave behind for the next generation. It is not enough to just do more of the same thing; new technology, collaborations, and developments will enable new solutions that we were not aware of before.
The trend of honesty is evident in many different aspects. This trend is about being honest about materials, color, and textures; not using filters or hiding the beauty of the original material. The Honest trend highlights the fibers and texture of natural materials such as wood and stone, allowing these materials to appear uncensored on surfaces for maximum effect.
The Honest trend is based on naturally earthy colors and patterns. Instead of beige as the dominant color, darker shades of brown, terracotta and musty forest colors now come to the forefront.
Honest: Untreated - No filter, natural - Patina & Aged
Softly shaped curves and retro-nostalgic patterns, combined with soft pastel colors, flirt with the eye and our senses. The Sense trend brings a sense of calm and embrace - all our senses should be part of the experience.
The Sense trend involves a combination of soothing colors in soft pastels, patterns, textures, and light, used to create spaces to feel comfortable. The feeling is allowed to dictate and steer the decisions we make, and we choose the right space and right time; whether we feel nostalgic, need time on our own, or just want to take it easy and live "slow living".
Sense: Textures & Curves - Calming colors – Emotion-based decisions.
As technology develops, so do the possibilities. The world spins faster every day, and the only limitation is our creativity and realizing the feeling that anything is possible. The New Now trend adds playfulness and encourages a sense of optimism through bright colors, bold patterns, and cheerful designs.
Since the New Now trend can be perceived as short-term, it is extremely important to have a sustainable perspective and find creative solutions when it comes to mixing the new with the recycled, steering towards digital and connected solutions and, above all, drive development forward.

"Color will be a creative guide for 2023, in combination with us looking cautiously ahead, but with a nostalgic feeling for what has been. We want to create a safe and pleasant environment for us to spend time together with our family and friends. In terms of materials, we look to a great extent for the naturally beautiful. We choose materials with consideration and a careful balance between facts and feelings, as we know that our choices will have an affect on the next generation," Petra Lundblad summarizes her trend scouting.
